Agreement

By accessing or using Garmin TXT Reader, you agree to these terms and our Privacy Policy. If you do not agree, do not use the service. You must be able to enter into a binding agreement where you live; if you use the service for an organization, you represent that you can bind it.

The service

Garmin TXT Reader lets you upload supported TXT files, review detected chapters, choose content, pair compatible Garmin watches, and queue selected content for a watch to download over HTTPS. Completed content can be read offline on the watch.

A separate TXT Reader phone application is not required. Connectivity can depend on the watch, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, Garmin Connect’s network bridge, Garmin services, and your phone or network configuration. Compatibility and available storage vary by watch model.

Your account

Production access uses a verified Google account. You are responsible for keeping your Google account and paired watch secure and for activity performed through your Garmin TXT Reader account. Notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access.

Do not share session credentials, watch bearer tokens, or pairing codes. A pairing code is short-lived and should be entered only at txtreader.jiake.app.

Subscriptions, trials, and cancellation

• Monthly: USD 1.99 per month, charged when you subscribe, with no free trial.
• Annual: USD 9.99 per year. Eligible accounts with no prior Garmin TXT Reader subscription record receive a 7-day trial and must provide a payment method.
• Unless canceled, a subscription renews automatically at the interval and price shown at Checkout. Applicable taxes may be added.
• You can manage or cancel through the Stripe customer portal available from the Billing page.

Cancel before the trial or current billing period ends to avoid the next charge. Cancellation generally stops future renewal; it does not erase content already downloaded to a watch. Refund requests are considered under applicable law and the payment terms shown at purchase. Contact support if a charge appears incorrect.

Current membership covers unlimited TXT book uploads and selected-chapter syncs, subject to a 20 MB limit per TXT file, per-transfer technical safeguards, fair-use and service-budget limits for optional AI analysis, compatible-device storage, and reasonable measures needed to keep the service reliable.

Your content

You retain your rights in TXT files you upload. You grant us a limited, worldwide, non-exclusive license to host, copy, split, format, transmit, and otherwise process that content only to provide, secure, and support Garmin TXT Reader.

You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to upload and use the content. Do not upload unlawful material or content that infringes copyright, privacy, confidentiality, or other rights.

Garmin TXT Reader is not a backup service. Keep your original files. You can delete a cloud book from the library, but copies previously downloaded to a watch must be removed on that watch.

Acceptable use

You may not:

• Use the service for illegal, abusive, fraudulent, or harmful activity.
• Upload malware or attempt to access another user’s books, account, watch, or transfers.
• Evade authentication, rate limits, subscription checks, transfer safeguards, or storage limits.
• Probe, disrupt, overload, scrape, reverse engineer, or automate the service in a way that harms users or infrastructure, except where applicable law expressly permits it.
• Resell access or use the service to distribute content at scale without written permission.

We may limit, suspend, or terminate access when reasonably necessary to protect the service, enforce these terms, address nonpayment, comply with law, or prevent harm.

Availability and changes

We may change, maintain, limit, or discontinue features. We aim to operate the service reliably, but do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, successful delivery on every network, continued support for every Garmin model, or error-free chapter detection. Optional AI output may be incomplete or incorrect; review chapter selections before syncing.

Disclaimers and responsibility

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Garmin TXT Reader is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties not expressly stated in these terms. We are not responsible for third-party services, lost source files, watch hardware failures, network outages, or indirect or consequential losses where such exclusions are lawful.

Nothing in these terms excludes rights, warranties, or liability that cannot be excluded under applicable consumer law. Where liability can lawfully be limited, our aggregate liability relating to paid service is limited to the amount you paid for Garmin TXT Reader during the 12 months before the event giving rise to the claim.

Ending use and account deletion

You may stop using the service at any time. Cancel an active subscription before requesting account deletion so Stripe does not continue renewal. Follow our account-deletion instructions for the current manual request process.

Sections that by their nature should survive—such as ownership, payment obligations, acceptable-use enforcement, disclaimers, and lawful record retention—continue after use ends.

Changes to these terms

We may update these terms as the product or legal requirements change. The date at the top identifies the current version. If a change materially affects your rights, we will provide notice through the service or another appropriate channel when required.
