Support

Pair a compatible Garmin watch, move selected TXT chapters to it, and resolve common account, network, and billing issues.

Last updated: August 16, 2026

Get started

  1. Install TXT Reader from the Connect IQ Store on a compatible Garmin watch.
  2. Sign in with Google on txtreader.jiake.app.
  3. Open TXT Reader on the watch and choose Pair Device.
  4. Enter the four-digit code on the website within 10 minutes.
  5. Upload a TXT file, review its detected chapters, select what you want, and choose the target watch.
  6. Choose Sync Now on the watch. Completed chapters are available offline.

New uploads and cloud sync require an active membership. See pricing and annual-trial details.

Pairing help

The code is rejected or expired

Generate a new four-digit code on the watch and enter only that newest code. Codes expire after 10 minutes, and repeated failed claims are temporarily rate-limited.

The watch says pairing failed

  • Confirm the watch has network access. It may use Wi-Fi or Garmin Connect’s system network bridge on supported devices.
  • Keep Bluetooth and Garmin Connect available if that system bridge is carrying the request. TXT Reader does not implement direct Bluetooth book transfer.
  • Verify the watch date and time and try a newly generated code.
  • If stale local state remains, open TXT Reader Settings and use the application-storage reset option, then pair again.

Pair is missing from the menu

Pair Device appears in the main menu when the watch is not paired. After pairing, Unpair is located in Settings because it is used less often.

Upload and sync help

Cloud sync is not available

Sign in and open Billing. If the account has no current entitlement, choose the monthly plan or the eligible annual trial. If you already paid, refresh Billing after Stripe finishes processing the subscription update.

A transfer stays queued

Confirm that you selected the intended watch, then open TXT Reader on that watch and start sync. Queue items are tied to one specific paired watch; another watch cannot claim them. Keep the app open while a long transfer is active.

A download is interrupted

Retry from the watch. Transfers use immutable blocks and receipt-based completion, so an interrupted transfer can resume without a successful download being marked complete too early.

Chapter detection is incorrect

Review chapter selections before saving. Built-in detection supports common Chinese, English, Japanese, Korean, and Markdown headings. Optional AI assistance receives only bounded heading samples and structural statistics, and its suggestions still require review.

Billing help

The monthly membership is USD 1.99 and has no trial. Eligible accounts with no prior Garmin TXT Reader subscription record receive 7 days free on the annual plan, then pay USD 9.99 per year unless they cancel. Stripe hosts payment collection and subscription management.

  • Use Billing after sign-in to open Stripe Checkout or the customer portal.
  • Cancel before a trial or billing period ends to avoid the next renewal.
  • Downloaded books remain readable after cancellation, but new uploads and syncs require active access.

Contact support

Support requests are handled manually. Email from the Google address used for your Garmin TXT Reader account when the issue involves account, device, transfer, or billing data.

Please include:

  • Your Garmin watch model and firmware version.
  • The page or watch screen where the issue appears.
  • The exact error code or message and approximate time, including timezone.
  • Steps that reproduce the issue and whether Wi-Fi or a phone bridge was used.

Never email passwords, Google credentials, payment-card details, session tokens, pairing codes, watch bearer tokens, or the complete text of a copyrighted book.
